Melanie Peyton has over twenty five years of experience in the financial services industry. Melanie has been with Visa, Inc. for over 15 years serving several roles related to Co-Branding and Co-Brand Marketing. For the past four years, Melanie has been responsible for Visa’s Co-Brand New Business efforts. In 2011 alone, Melanie lead strategic deals for Visa which contributed in over $150 Billion in term sales volume. Melanie has set the direction and strategy for prospecting efforts related to new Co-Brand business as well as had developed Visa-wide cross-functional leadership for the planning and execution of co-branded plans and programs by directing, influencing and coaching Visa employees toward flawless execution and achievement of co-branded strategies and goals.
Melanie began her career at Household Credit Services in Salinas, California where she had P&L responsibilities for several Co-Brand portfolios. Later she moved to PNC Bank in Wilmington, Delaware where she was the Senior Vice President of Marketing with direct P&L responsibility for all Co-Brand partnership portfolios and new business efforts that grew PNC’s Co-Brand partnership business from $950,000 to over $2B in receivables over an 18 month period.
In addition to the successful deal closures, Melanie has excellent communication and collaboration skills both internally and externally. She has proven successful with these skills and ability to work with teams such as finance, legal, product, innovation, industry consultants, issuer and partners.
Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia and attended the ABA School of Bankcard Management. She resides in San Jose, California with her husband Kevin and their children Madeline, Ellie, and Abby. She is a past school board member and a current Girl Scout Leader and is active in volunteer efforts through-out her community.
